About JKUAT
JKUAT is located in Juja along the Nairobi-Thika Highway. The government started it in 1981 as a Middle-Level College (Jomo Kenyatta College of Agriculture and Technology (JKCAT)). The first class enrolled on 4 May 1981, and the first graduation ceremony was held in April 1984.JKCAT was finally established as a University through the JKUAT Act, 1994, and inaugurated on 7 December 1994.

How to get an admission letter for JKUAT?
JKUAT has simplified its application process for various courses. All applications are now made via the JKUAT admission portal, unless required, instead of visiting the university premises. Before the application process, as an applicant, you need to understand that there are various requirements that vary from one course to another. So always check on your specific course before making an application.
Here is the full process to follow for your application:
- Visit the admissions portal and register using the link https://admission.jkuat.ac.ke/register
- Complete the registration form by providing all the relevant and needed details, including your name, Index numbers, or application numbers for self-sponsored students, and verify your account to log in.
- Once your account is active, log in and locate the diploma applications section. Fill in all required biographical and academic information with absolute accuracy, matching exactly what appears on your official KCSE certificate and national ID.
- The system will prompt you to upload clear, legible scans of your KCSE certificate or result slip, your national ID (or birth certificate if under 18), and a passport-sized photograph.
- After reviewing all information for accuracy, submit the form and pay.
